So it is safe to say that DC pretty much won the PR war this year at SDCC, and Marvel seems to be pissed off about it. Marvel is so pissed off about it that they want all of DC Flashpoint tie-ins… I’m not joking… It’s for real. According to bleedingcool.com today, Marvel is offering retail stores a limited variant of Fear Itself #6 by Ed McGuinness and discount on Marvel book if the retailer returns all the first issues of Flashpoint.
This is not the first time Marvel has done this. They did it back when retail stores had to order multiple DC comics to get the Blackest Night rings. I don’t think it worked back then, I don’t see it working now. Of course this means war.
